Stampin Up! Panel or screen card

Stampin Up! panel card

I've seen a few of these panel cards (or is it screen, not quite sure what to call them) floating around on the internet so I thought I'd have a go at making one.

They're not difficult to make, but they look quite effective don't they?

Stampin Up! Panel card happy birthday

For this one I used a piece of 11ins x 5½in Whisper White cardstock, and scored it at 2¾ins, 5½ins and 8¼ins, and folded in mountain and valley style to make the basic card.

The feet are made using the Decorative Label punch - just put the card in to nearly half way on each panel, and punch.

I've used a Sale-a-bration stamp set here, but you could use a variety of stamps. The Flowering Flourishes looks good too.

Don't forget the Retiring Stamps and Accessories - they'll be gone on June 2nd, if not before.
There are also going to be some price rises in the new catalogue, so if you need any ink pads, large punches etc, perhaps you should think about getting them now.

Stampin Up! Heat embossed black and white card with Petite Petals

I've been wanting to make a black and white card for some time, and decided that adding some heat embossing to it would liven it up a bit.

I used the Petite Petals stamp set, and used black embossing powder to emboss onto the black card. I did try embossing the black onto the white card as well, but that didn't look so good, so I just stamped it in the end. Added some rhinestones, and voilà! I've also added some silver glimmer paper behind the sentiment.

Don't forget the retiring items from the current catalogue - click on the Shop Now link above, or on the right to have a look.

Also, just a heads up that some items, like ink pads and card stock are going up slightly with the start of the new catalogue, so if you plan to order any it might pay to do it now - the new prices will starte June 2nd with the new catalogue.

Stampin Up! Retiring stamps and accessories

Hello everyone. I'm here to tell you about some bargains, but you need to get there quickly!

Every year Stampin Up! retires some stamps and accessories (including dies and punches), before the launch of the new catalogue, which is due out on June 2nd.  Some of these retiring products are available at up to 50% off!

Well, the list was published yesterday. You can order now - as items run out, they are removed from sale. So, if there's something you want, please don't rely on it still being available later, it might have gone.

Please note that you can buy these items from my Stampin Up! shop if you live in France, the UK, the Netherlands, Austria or Germany, and have them delivered direct to you.

You can see the retiring stamps HERE

And the retiring accessories are HERE

These are just a couple of the retiring stamps:

The I Love Lace background stamp, and the Hey You stamp - Congrats, Happy Birthday, and Thanks are being retired.

Of course this means there are lots of new stamps and accessories to look forward to in the new catalogue!

But for now, make the most of the retiring items.

Some of the cards and other items that I've made are available my Etsy shop MaudieMaudie. Please ask if you can't see something you'd like.

Stampin Up! Mini Treat Bags

Stampin Up! Mini Treat Bags

So, today's post is about Mini Treat Bags. I've had a play around with using different DSP, and adding different decoration to the front, and thought you might like to see what I came up with.

These two were made with the beautiful Painted Blooms DSP, and I used the Note Tag punch to add layered decoration to the front.

Stampin Up! mini treat bags, soft sky, pool party dsp

These two were made using Soft Sky and Pool Party DSP from the Subtles paper stack. I used the dies that come with the treat bag set for the decoration.

And these two were made with Calypso Coral DSP from the same Subtles paper stack, and the star and heart were also in with the mini treat bag die.

So from one die set you get a lot of different options for decoration.

You will need a Big Shot or equivalent to make these bags, but it's a good investment.

Now I just need something to put in them!

Stampin Up! The Open Sea card

Today's card is made with The Open Sea stamp set:

Stampin Up! The Open Sea

This would make a nice 'man card' for someone who liked the sea wouldn't it. The stamp set has 5 stamps in it, and I've used 4 here. The anchor, compass, and ship's roster are stamped in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla for the back panel. I stamped the ship on watercolour paper, and added some colour to the sea.

There is also a globe stamp in this set but I've yet to use it. I think there are lots of possibilities here though!

Another date for your diaries - I've booked to be at the Silfiac Plant Fair on May 17th. As well as all the fabulous plants on sale there will be some Arts and Crafts stalls in the Salle Polyvalente.

Stampin Up! Petite Purse bag

This bag is made with the fabulous Petite Purse Bigz L die, and I love it!

Stampin Up! Petite Purse

Who wouldn't love to receive a gift of some kind, jewellery perhaps, in this little bag. Or they'd be great for wedding favours.

Stampin Up! Petite Purse gold bag

I used gold card and a wooden button for this one, the card is quite thick, but I have made others with lighter designer paper. And you can cover some card with fabric and use that too. In the photo below I have used a suedette fabric on one of the bags.

You do need a Big Shot, or equivalent, to make them, but I think they're great! They have a little slit on the front for closure too.

I'll be taking some to the Royal British Legion sale at Le Sourn this Sunday (12 April), if you want to see some in person. Hope to see you there!

If you can't make it you can visit my Etsy shop MaudieMaudie to see what I currently have for sale.

Stampin Up! Moon Lake cards

I recently bought the Moon Lake stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue.

Stampin Up! Moon Lake, blue tit

I love all of these images and sentiments (there is also a 'thinking of you' sentiment that isn't shown here). I've used an Aqua Painter to colour the images here with inks - just squeeze the inks while shut (gently!) to move some of the ink to the cover so you can use it.

But you can also leave the stamps colour free, and they look just as good. Nice cards to use for nature lovers, and great man cards too!

Stampin Up! Moon Lake black and white

I'm going to start putting some of the cards that you see on my blog up for sale in my Etsy shop MaudieMaudie - please contact me if you see something you want but would like to change something slightly.

Finally, thanks to everybody who came to the AIKB Easter Fair at St Gelven yesterday. Don't forget I'll be at the Royal British Legion sale in Le Sourn on Sunday 12 April too - hope to see you there.

Stampin Up! Blackberry Bliss and Painted Blooms box

It was my Mum's birthday recently and we bought her a pen and propelling pencil, both hand turned by somebody who lives nearby. Although they came boxed I felt the need to box the box!

Stampin Up! Blackberry bliss Painted blooms dsp

I made the base of the box from Blackberry Bliss card stock, and the top from a matching sheet from the Painted Blooms DSP - I love that suite of papers, every one of them is beautiful.

I finished off by punching some flowers using the Itty Bitty Accent punch pack, and adding some candy dots, and ribbon.

I'm currently making lots of cards, boxes and bags for upcoming fairs - the AIKB Easter Fair at St Gelven on Monday 6 April, and the Royal British Legion sale at Le Sourn on Sunday 12 April. I'll share some of my goodies in the next couple of days. Included will be some bags made with my new Petite Purse die, it is fabulous!
