Stampin Up! Sneak Peek - Build a Birthday

Stampin Up! Build a Birthday

I'm back with another sneak peek! This stamp set is called Build a Birthday and will be available in the new annual catalogue which launches Tuesday 2nd June.

Like the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, this one can be used in a variety of ways. See those cake layers? Turn them round and they become candles.

Clever isn't it? I didn't put a sentiment on this one because I thought it could be used for a lot of different things, it's almost a little Christmassy!

This is what the Build a Birthday stamp set looks like.

Those colours on the candle card are some of the new In Colours for 2015-17, the only one missing is Tip Top Taupe.

I was a little unsure of the colours when I first saw them, but they are growing on me now I've used them. They're called Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, and Mint Macaron (my favourite).

The background mat on the card is from the Cherry on Top card stack and is Cucumber Crush.

There's still room for more at my Open Day on June 2nd for the new catalogue launch. Please contact me for my address in Mael Carhaix if you'd like to pop in, anytime from 10.00 - 4.00.

Stampin Up! Sneak Peak - Sprinkles of Life stamp set

Stampin Up! Sprinkles of Life ice cream

So, I thought I'd start to tease you will some sneak peeks at what's coming up in the new catalogue! Demos are allowed to buy a few things before the launch.

Stampin Up! Sprinkles of Life

Today, I'm showcasing a new stamp set called Sprinkles of Life. This stamp set is good news on two counts - one, it's a great stamp set, I love it all, and two, some of the proceeds (€2.25) from each stamp set go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

There is also a punch to go with the stamp set which you buy separately. The Sprinkles of Life stamp set will cost €25, and the Tree Builder punch is €22.

There are so many possibilities with this set. The designer paper I've used for the mats and backgrounds are from the new Cherry On Top paper stack.

You can order the stamp set, punch, and designer paper from June 2nd. If you live in France, the UK, Austria, Germany or the Netherlands you can order from my shop for delivery direct to you. You can also become a member of my team if you like what you see and live in any of those countries!

Alternatively, if you live near Mael Carhaix, you are welcome to come to my launch day on June 2nd. Just contact me for my address, I'd love to see you and show you more of the new  and carried over items from the catalogue.

A couple more:

You can use the tree stamp to make a bigger tree - I love this idea:

Let me know what you think. All these ideas are from one stamp set, how good is that? Look out for more sneak peeks in the next week - new In Colours, punches, stamps, lace, and designer papers!

Stampin Up! Butterfly Basics card

Stampin Up! Butterfly Basics card

Often when you buy a stamp set there are a couple of stamps in it that you know you are never likely to use. However, the Butterfly Basics stamp set is different - I love every stamp in it, and know I'll use it over and over again.

It is in the Spring/summer catalogue, and thankfully has been carried over into the Annual 2015/16 catalogue so it's available for at least another year.

You can buy the butterfly dies that go with it separately, or as a bundle, in which case you'd save 15%! You'll need a Big Shot or equivalent die-cutting machine, but it's a worthwhile investment as anyone who has one will tell you.

For this card I've added the middle sized butterfly die, there's a smaller solid one, and larger cut out one too. The cardstock is Kraft card.

I'm sure you'll be seeing more cards, tags and boxes made by me using this stamp set on the blog!

Stampin Up! Open Day for new catalogue 2nd June

Well, I've got it! The new Stampin Up! catalogue has arrived. Some things from the last catalogue have gone, and there are some new arrivals.

This is all I'm allowed to show you of the new catalogue on the internet until it goes live on June 2nd.

To celebrate the launch of the new catalogue I'll be holding an Open Day at my house in Mael Carhaix on June 2nd from 10.00am til 4.00pm. I'll have some catalogues (in English), some of the new stamp sets and papers etc., and you can also see some of the items that have carried over that you may be interested in.

If you're interested in coming, please contact me for details of my address and directions. I'll be contacting some of you anyway with invites.

Although I can't show you the catalogue online, you are able to see it in the flesh if you come along to the Plant Fair at Silfiac this weekend, May 17th, where I'll have copies.

Until June 2nd you can still order from the current catalogue. Indeed, I would encourage you to if you want ink pads, punches and some stamp sets as the prices are a little higher in the new catalogue.

Stampin Up! Butterfly Basics vintage style gift tags

Stampin Up! butterfly basics vintage gift tags

I love the look of these gift tags! They're made with Very Vanilla cardstock and sponged around the edge with Sahara Sand to give them a vintage style look.

The stamp set is Butterfly Basics which has some wonderful stamps in it. There are a set of dies to go with it too - I've just used one of them here for the pink butterfly. The stamp/die bundle is available at 15% discount if bought together.

What a nice sentiment too - There is nothing in the caterpillar that tells you it is going to be a butterfly. The tags with made with the Scalloped tag topper.

I'll be taking these tags, and some more, to the Plant Fair at Silfiac this weekend, 17th May.

Stampin Up! Papillon Potpourri on Night of Navy card

Stampin Up! Papillon Potpourri, Night of Navy card

I wanted to make a card that used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set, but not in a pink kind of way if you know what I mean. There will be plenty of pink butterflies in the future I'm sure.

These butterflies are stamped in Night of Navy and the card base is also Night of Navy. I kind of like the contrast between the butterflies and the darker ink.

I've stamped the ledger stamp from The Open Sea onto Very Vanilla as a background, and then the butterflies on top.

This stamp set has two punches that co-ordinate with it, the Elegant Butterfly punch for the larger butterflies, and the Bitty Butterfly punch for the smaller butterflies.

I used the Bitty Butterfly punch for two butterflies on this card. I'm pleased with it - it's not overly feminine, but attractive none the less. Hope you like it!

Stampin Up! Scalloped Tag Topper meets Flower Shop gift tags

Stampin Up! Scalloped Tag Topper and Flower Shop stamp set

Today's post is some zingy gift tags, made with the Scalloped Tag Topper. This tag topper is so useful, not just for making tags, you can also use it on cards, and to make little gift bags with - look out for some posts about that coming up.

Stampin Up! Flower Shop and Scalloped Tag Topper

The tag topper just punches the top, so you can make the tags as long or short as you like, or even punch both ends. I've made these tags 4ins (10cm) long, and the punch is 2ins (5cm) wide.

The stamp set is Flower Shop. I've just used one of the flowers here, but there are actually six to choose from.

Inks used are Night of Navy, Hello Honey, Calypso Coral, Perfect Plum, Rose Red, and Old Olive - a bright and cheerful combination I think!

Look out for more Scalloped Tag Topper and more Flower Shop posts to come.

A quick reminder that I will be at Silfiac Plant Sale on May 17 - hope to see you there.
